Together, we work to uncover patterns and empower lasting change.
About me and my practice
I am Juliana Seabra, a Psychodynamic therapist with over ten years of professional practice, including 03 years working at the NHS. My journey into this field began as a young adult, drawn by a desire to understand the complex nature of human experience. I believe that each of us carries a unique set of choices, relationships, memories, aspirations, fears, and desires that shape the path we call living. These facets are inseparable from our identityuniquely ours and impossible to replicate.
At times, however, we may become disconnected from the internal forces that guide us, leaving us feeling stuck, limited, or overwhelmed by suffering. This suffering can manifest in various ways: depression, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, burnout, phobias, compulsions, or a general sense of anguish. These experiences often feel isolating and debilitating, yet they may contain the clues we need to understand ourselves more fully. In my practice, I support clients in examining the roots of their struggles, not only to alleviate symptoms but also to cultivate deeper self-awareness and resilience.
Psychodynamic therapy is the foundation of my approach. This method involves exploring the unconscious patterns and influences that shape our actions, thoughts, and emotions, often tracing back to early life experiences. By understanding these layers, we can address the underlying causes of suffering and promote genuine, long-lasting change. My goal as a therapist is not simply to help clients feel better but to assist them in creating lives that feel meaningful and true to who they are.
In our work together, I provide a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore their feelings, confront difficult truths, and develop a clearer understanding of themselves. Therapy is a collaborative process, requiring openness, curiosity, and patience.
